FAQ – Hypnosis in Coaching
What exactly is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and deep relaxation. In this state, your mind
becomes more receptive to positive change, allowing you to work with patterns and habits that often
operate below conscious awareness. Hypnosis has been used for millennia (with roots that go back
some 4,000 years to the Sumerians) and is used in both therapeutic and coaching contexts to support
behavioural and emotional change.
Do I lose control during hypnosis?
Not at all. You remain fully aware, in control, and able to respond at any time. Hypnosis is not
about losing control — it’s a voluntary state where you become more attuned to yourself, opening
the door to meaningful change from within.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Most people describe it as a calm, focused state somewhere between waking and sleeping. You hear
my voice, stay aware of your thoughts, and stay fully present with yourself the whole time.
What can hypnosis coaching help with?
Hypnosis coaching can help release inner blockages, shift limiting beliefs, interrupt emotional
patterns, and anchor new, supportive mindsets. It’s especially powerful when willpower alone isn’t
enough to create lasting change.
Is hypnosis coaching useful for professional topics?
Yes. It can be very effective for challenges such as performance anxiety, decision-making,
confidence, communication issues or simply want to appear more confident and authentic at work.
Hypnosis can help you access the calm focus and authenticity needed to perform at your best.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on your goals and the complexity of the issue. Many clients notice change after just a
few sessions, with most seeing meaningful progress within 3–5 meetings.
What does a session cost?
You’ll find current pricing on the services page. During a free initial consultation, I’ll share all the
details so you can decide whether this approach feels right for you.
Is hypnosis safe?
Yes. When practiced professionally, hypnosis is a safe and gentle method. You can return to full
alertness at any time. I guide you clearly and attentively throughout the session.
That said, hypnosis isn’t recommended during acute psychosis, psychotic conditions, or certain
trauma-related situations. If you’re on specific medications, it’s best to consult your doctor first.
Does health insurance cover hypnosis coaching?
In most cases, statutory health insurance doesn’t cover hypnosis coaching. Private insurance
coverage varies widely, so it’s worth checking with your provider beforehand.
